Welcome to Linked Career Growth! Here we can learn from successful people and implement some of their strategies in our profesional lives.
I have with me Antonio Julio. Antonio was an Executive Director, Enterprise Business Development at Dell Computers. He has Bachelor of Science, Electric and Electronic Engineer with more than 30 years of experience.
Let’s start!
- Antonio, what was the worst moment in your career?
Answer: My most difficult experience in my career was when still fresh manager got the message about letting people go. I don’t remember at that time to be trained or instructed by HR on how to proceed with these kind of situations. Yet, I received a guidance on how many people I should reduce and the preparation was extremely poor. It was very difficult but I learned – in a very difficult way – to be prepared to do this even when everything is going well with business.
- What was your AH-HA moment in your job life? i.e ( when you thought you could change things )
Answer: When I got my first international assignment – coming to a new country with limited knowledge on the language and a business to run. Breaking the ice, building relationship and delivering the results were the moment that I see as the cross line between failure and success. I made it.
- What is your biggest strength?
Answer: drive for results, to get the things done, well done at the first time.
- What makes Antonio Fired up every morning?
Answer: An expectation to see happy customers with your products and solutions
